The service engineer is responsible for preventative maintenance, responding to user requests, troubleshooting problems and implementing projects. Much of this work can and should be done remotely. This job requires a high degree of telephone and email interaction with our clients` staff members. There will also be client site visits periodically.
DESCRIPTION
Our firm provides IT outsourcing services to small businesses in Manhattan, including a couple of brand name companies. We have a very cohesive team that respects each other and works well together in an effort to continue the growth of the company. We`re looking to add a service staff member to help manage client networks and provide great customer service to end users. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent customer service skills
- Associates degree or equivalent from accredited college or university
- 2 years Windows network administration experience
- Demonstrated ability to configure, maintain and troubleshoot Windows domain
- Demonstrated ability to configure, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange
- Proven understanding of basic TCP/IP network concepts
- Clear understanding of email routing concepts
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responds to and closes trouble tickets within defined time frames
- Escalates problems in accordance with company policy to senior staff members
- Documents activities clearly and in accordance with company requirements in time tracking system
